Since I was in junior high, my friend and I would grab his mom's old view camera and take it out in the field when we would go shooting or hunting and I developed a bit of an addiction to the scenes through the viewfinder of a camera. After high school, I worked alongside a family friend who I esteemed to be a good photographer. He encouraged me and I bought my first "real" camera, an Olympus 35mm with two lenses.
I have always loved to share my experiences, and photography has come to be a great way to share the wonders of nature that I encounter with those I meet, family members, hunting partners and friends. The photos here represent mostly Montana and the surrounding areas as I have wandered and gotten to know my home state and a few neighboring states. I have found over the years that my photography has allowed me, or even forced me at times to view things that I may have otherwise not noticed, and most certainly not captured. I believe any experience in life is multiplied if it is shared. Today, you are the one with whom I share. I welcome your comments. Email me at jb@johnbphoto.net
